Brovia

Italy Piedmont Castiglione Falletto

Brovia's company was born in 1863 in Castiglione Falletto.

In 1953, after the end of the II World War, Giacinto e Raffaele, grandchildren of the founder have resumed the production of wine.

Giacinto is responsable of the production, while Raffaele,  experienced agronomist hasbeen the supervisor of all the vineyards untill his death in 2011. Fortunately today Cristina and Elena, doughters of Giacinto, are fully engaged in the company as represented of the forth generation.

Brovia family pay always attention to the terroir and, during the years has brought great vineyards in the area of Barolo: Rocche, Villero and Gabet Sue' in Castiglione Falletto and Ca'Mia and Brea in Serralunga d'Alba.

Vineyards are treated organically and interventions' aim is to keep the balance between the elements of the soil.

Brovia's company is featured by a traditional style. Soft pressings and long fermentations (30 days for Nebbiolo).

Barolos are refined for at least 2 years in 30hl-barrels in Slavonia and French durmast. Wines are then bottled without filtration and then released on the market after other 18-24 months of refining in bottles.
