Corino Giovanni

Italy Piedmont La Morra

The history of the Corino company began in the middle of the last century. Celeste Corino, grandfather of the current owner of the farm, worked as a sharecropper for producers in the area of La Morra.

Just taking an example from his father's work, Giovanni decided to found a winery himself. Giovanni did not immediately worry about the production: initially, in fact, his energies were spent in the care of the vineyards from which he obtained grapes for sale.

Only with Giuliano, Giovanni's son, in the mid-80s, that the wine was produced and bottled for the first time. Giuliano could count on 9 hectares of vineyards owned for the production of a thin, elegant, slightly acid Barolo with a fine tannin. Including Arborina, Giachini and Vecchie Vigne.

In the cellar the goal is to maintain the characteristics of the territories on which the grapes used grow. For this purpose, thinning in the vineyard, short fermentation and aging in small French oak barrels are made.
