Poggio di Sotto, a real icon from Montalcino
I just got back from Montalcino, where I tasted some fantastic Brunello 2010, an extraordinary vintage celebrated by international critics. I visited the wniery Poggio di Sotto, whose Brunello makes crazy all the wine lovers all overthe world. After the acquisition by Collemassari, nothing has changed in Poggio di Sotto, which continues to produce outstanding wines.
Brunello di Montalcino 2010 Poggio di Sotto is a stunning wine. Black cherries, menthol, spices and a host of balsamic notes emerge from this powerful, textured Brunello. He's an elegant and structured wine. This is a totally sublime wine, no doubt will be one of the most sought after Brunello ever.
