Summer has come!

Today is June 21st, Summer officially begins! The new season hot season means lighter food, but there are many opportunities to open a bottle of good wine. Whatever it is either a beach party, a dinner on a terrace with friends, a boat trip, or a pic-nic in the countryside, there is always a wine well suited for every occasion.

Here we offer you a 5 sparkling compilation to drink in this first part of Summer 2016. Wines to match the most cheerful moments:

Andreola Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg Spumante Dry Sesto Senso
a pale yellow with very fine bubbles. Pear and apple notes are enriched by a citric final. Delicate and fresh to the palate, harmonious and refined, it is blessed with a soft finish. Perfect to match fish starters and spaghetti with seafood.

Barone Pizzini Franciacorta Docg Saten
made with 100% Chardonnay, this Saten opens with a floreal bouquet, complemented by notes of white fruit. Soft, creamy, it enevelops the mouth with a silky touch.

Marco Capra Metodo Classico Extra Brut SeiTremenda
a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir crafted near Canelli (Piedmont) that ages on the lees fo 36 months before being disgorged and topped up as Extra Brut. Soft and creamy mousse with long persistence, subtle and elegant bubbles, nice mineral layers emerge in the finish complementing the white fruit flavors. A wine to pair with (almost) everything.

Philipponnat Champagne Aoc Grand Blanc 2007 Brut
the outcome of only the first pressing of Chardonnay grapes sourced from six among the best crus in the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger, Chouilly, Vertus, Grauves. Fermentation in steel and barriques without undergoing malolactic.
Golden with slight green shades, it is endowed with a persistent creamy mousse. The bouquet evoques aromas of acacia and hawthorn flowers. Hazelnut and citrus fruit course through the texture, which touches the palate with a pastry fragrance.

Bollinger Champagne Rose Brut
strawberry and blueberry notes with floreal hints make up the complex bouquet of this enjoying Champagne. Full-bodied and creamy on the palate with a lingering persistence. A winy  and salty sip marks decisively it. Perfect to be paired with fish courses as well as white meat and salmon thanks to its balanced acidity.

Soutiran Champagne Brut Non Dose Grand Cru Ambonnay
Pinot Noir's touch is well balanced by Chardonnay's elegance in this Non Dosé Champagne, both coming from Grand Cru sites.
Cellar aging lasts at least 5 years. Subtle and plentiful bubbles, light green tinges cross the golden yellow colour. Pastry, acacia honey and dried fruit make the profile, which proves to be broad and intense with almond scents.

Vouette e Sorbee Champagne Aoc Cuvee Fidele Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut
this Blanc de Noirs is made with Pinot Noir in purity. As for all the Champagnes made by Monsieur Gautherot, grapes are hand-picked and fermentation occurs in oak barrels with indigenous yeasts.
Freshness and great energy mark the sip. A long lasting flavor of sweet spices and toasted walnuts, white flowers and minerals, red berries, all put togheter in an abstract work of art where all the colours fly in a big vortex, underlining the complexity and persistence of a great wine.
