About this wine
The 2012 Barolo Cerequio offers praiseworthy elegance that is made more evident thanks to the wine's solid structure. Polished aromas of wild berry, anise seed, dried ginger, tar and licorice combine to give the wine a lasting sense of aromatic lift and buoyancy. The mouthfeel follows with a tight and streamlined approach. Boroli has achieved beautiful results in the Cerequio cru, despite a vintage that saw sporadic hail storms and difficult summer heat spikes.
An elegant style, boasting cherry, leather, earth, tobacco and spice flavors, matched to a lively structure. Balanced, combining grip with spice on the long finish. Best from 2019 through 2033. 450 cases made.
Subtle aromas of tar and rose petal as well as plum follow through to a full body plus chewy and powerful tannins with plenty of ripe fruit surrounding them. Impressive structure and concentration for the vintage yet always refined. Better in 2019.
