Medium amber edged red. Classic old-style Barolo aromas of red fruit, faded rose, underbrush, smoke and chestnut, plus a whiff of coconut. Sweet, vinous and aromatic on entry, then the fruit is cut off by slightly dry, chewy tannins. Best today on the front half, and in need of a couple years of patience. Still, quite stylish.
