About this wine
Very different from the Cerequio Barolo, the 2012 Barolo Villero delivers its elegance with distinctive flair. The Villero cru is known for structured wines, but this expression offers unique silkiness and smoothness. The fruit flavors play long on the palate with lingering tones of cassis, dried cranberry, licorice and balsam herb. Indian spice, tar and ash are also part of the wine's inner-workings.
This offers sweet cherry, eucalyptus, iron and tobacco aromas and flavors. Elegant and spicy, with dusty tannins lining the subtle finish. Should open up soon. Best from 2020 through 2035.
Aromas of chocolate powder, orange peel and dried strawberry. Medium body, intense and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. This has structure to improve for a long time with age but it's already so attractive. Try in 2018.
