About this wine
The vintage of Dom Pérignon do not evolve in a linear way, but develop through a succession of periods, called Plénitudes, during which the wine reaches its greatest expression. P2 is the Deuxiéme Plénitude, the result of more than 15 years of refinement of the blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, from the Épernay area.
The 2004 vintage will mark the history of Champagne Dom Pérignon for its richness and generosity.
"It's a wine that dances," says Vincent Chaperon, Dom Pérignon's chief oenologist. “It's the wine that's all about the fruit. All about the volume. It is so easy to drink, so harmonious. It is certainly the most ethereal, the most airy wine, more than it defies the gravity of our business ".

The 2004 Dom Pérignon P2 is drinking beautifully on release, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet orchard fruit, fresh peach, pastry cream, buttered toast and cotton candy that display a less reductive profile than the original disgorgement. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and charming, with an ample, enveloping core of fruit, succulent acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it concludes with a long, sapid finish. Forward and giving, there's no obvious reason to defer gratification.
